Yes, it’s what I use at home.

Yeah. You disable the wifi in your Xfinity router, connect the Xfinity router to the Orbi system via one Ethernet connection to the main Orbi router. Then the Orbi will create your new mesh wifi. I used it this way with my FiOS router but it's the same setup instructions for any ISP.
