There's a unit compatibility chart on Netgear site you will want to check out. However, even a 2 point mesh from Orbi provides WiFi out to our tree house and over to our fire pit. The three point system hits my car at the end of our street. So you might not need an outdoor extender once you upgrade.

Likewise, special Orbi AC WiFi satellites such as the Orbi Outdoor Satellite, Orbi Voice, and Orbi Wall-Plug Satellite are not compatible with Orbi WiFi 6 Systems.
