Orbi is a single network SSID, but both 2.4 and 5GHz bands function in that network. There is another 5GHz channel (that's why they are called tri-band) for backhaul connection between the router and satellites so their connection doesn't take away from the bandwidth available to the end devices.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No this will not cause any problems for you! My Sonos setup connected seamlessly when we switched over. The Orbi opens up the stream best suited for what the devices asks and is capable to handle! Good Luck!!
