Customers regard the Orbi AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System highly for its ease of use, extensive coverage and range, and strong signal strength, leading to consistently good performance and reliable WiFi. The setup process is also praised for its simplicity. However, a common concern is the relatively high price point.

I used to have Velop basic model only that can handle up to 100mbps since I upgraded my internet speed to 400mbps the velop doesn’t work on my new router that my ISP provided me. So I went shopping for router. Did my research and finally chose Netgear Orbi. I chose this over higher versions of Velop because of good reviews and I was hesitating that if I purchased another Velop it might not work on my new router. So far I had super fast internet. I like the app and it comes with 1 year free internet protection plan from Bitdefender. I’m so happy with this product. The product itself looks elegant design in my living room, kitchen and master bedroom. It has a wide range as well even in outdoor. Easy set up compared to Linksys Velop. It’s kinda pricey compare to Velop which has $100 off. This product has no discount. I don’t mind paying the full price as long as it delivers it’s features.

I didn't really want to buy the Orbi, primarily because I thought it looked like big air fresheners/deodorant sticks, but my friend who's a Geek Squad installer said these are the best in this price range. I'm glad I listened to him. The installation was ridiculously easy since I kept my previous network/password combination. Within minutes, the base unit found the satellites and I had 18 devices online. An unexpected bonus: my internet speeds increased dramatically -- nearly 4x faster download on my phone and laptop and about 10% faster up. And the Orbi App is superb.

Easy to set up with consistent internet connection through the house. The best part is being able to have a wired internet connection from the satellite for my work laptop at my desk without haven’t to run Ethernet behind the walls.

Great product and system. Not as large or unattractive as it appeared when shopping and comparing systems online (satellites smaller than main router). Easy set up. Eliminated weak signal coverage areas in my home. Helpful online (call) service that lead to identification of further internet service limitations slowing my network speed. However, I do not have what many would consider high speed from my ISP (<25 MB/s download and upload, but all I need)

OMG. I was planning to hardwire from my 1st floor to the 2nd floor as I was getting 7 - 10 Mbps in one of the rooms. There was severe interference from the concrete wall. All the other rooms had 250 Mbps. I accidentally stumbled upon this and took a chance and to say I am impressed is an understatement. I am getting 180 Mbps now in the problematic room and 580 Mbps in other rooms. Note: I was using a Netgear MODEM ROUTER device and here is what YOU SHOULD DO before setting this device. 1. Disable all the current wifi networks as your phone will try to connect to one of the networks. You can do this by selecting "forget this network" in iPhone Settings (or) change the WIFI password by logging onto the routerlogin.net. (I did the later). Refer the Before and After snapshot of speed :)

This product made my home wifi experience amazing. Use to have spotty signals or spots I would lose connection and now it's consistent and great. My boys are using their Nintendo switch, PS4 and other devices. I give it a 4-star coz it’s a bit pricey. Other than that, this product is great.

I searched and searched for a wifi mesh system for our 2500 sq ft home. Finally settled on the Orbi, and could not be happier! My download speeds average around 230 Mbps. I even have coverage outside my home now, where I didn't before.

I have had coverage problems in my 2200 sq ft 2 story house with my old routers. The signal to the downstairs Amazon Firestick would buffer while watching a streaming movie. I have the new Orbi router base unit upstairs atop a cabinet away from any computer and 2 satellites downstairs, 1 in living room and 1 in kitchen. I get excellent coverage inside the house and now outside all the way to the mailbox as well. The old Netgear router usually connected with 2.4 GHz as the signal had to go through walls. Orbi connects most everything with faster 5 GHz The app is easy to use and you can see each device that is connected to the base or to one of the satellites. We have no problems (well two actually) with our devices: one old iMac hard wired to the base, a hub for a laptop hard wired to the base (that’s why I bought the model with 4 hard wired ports available), 2 laptops, 2 iPhones, 1 iPad, a wireless printer (problem 1: the printer & router kept losing the printer’s IP address. A call to HP tech support helped with that), a Firestick in a dumb TV, a Samsung smart TV, a thermostat, and on outdoor smart outlet the turns the fountain on & off. Problem 2 was one Dell laptop would lose WiFi connectivity. The router & laptop we’re losing the IP address. A call to tech support helped that - my wife is not complaining that she lost signal. I’m glad I bought the product. I can sit outside on the patio and not have to worry about getting a signal. My outdoor smart outlet was hard to connect to the old router at it was distant from the router (1 bar signal strength), but now it is near the dining room satellite and it was easy to connect with a 3 bar signal. The outlet only works on 2.4 GHz and the outlet & Orbi figures that out on their own. I’m able to rename all my devices on the app so it’s easy to tell what’s device is connected to which Orbi router or satellite. One thing that odd is the wireless HP printer is physically 10’ from the base router yet it connects to the satellites often and the Firestick is near the living room satellite yet it connects to the farther away upstairs bas router. But our iPhones connect to whichever base or satellite we are closest to at the time and I’ve never had a problem with the phones losing WiFi connectivity.

Was having trouble with Wi-Fi coverage and consistency. The Orbi AC2200 is a little pricey for a home installation but well worth the money. Setup was so easy I actually thought that some documentation was missing. Performance is amazing with full strength signal in every corner of our 2500+ 4 level house and even at out building (we have a small ranch). The systems seem to mask some of the fluctuation in our ISP signal (fixed wireless). For anyone with a big house, this is the system to get!

We literally couldn’t get internet anywhere but our bedroom and now it extends to the whole house , upstairs and down, even the garage!!!!

I researched this item for months upon months. A couple things I will mention. If you aren't aware of the things I'm talking about below, then I doubt any of these things will bother you. 1) I can't use a PoE AP with this router 2) I can't split the 2G and 5G networks into separate networks. I have to depend on the Orbi router to figure out what should be on 2G and what should be on 5G. This can become an issue in certain scenarios. For example, if your network is MyNetwork, whenever you connect a phone to MyNetwork, it will automatically put you on the 5G, you aren't able to connect to 2G on your phone. This is bad if you use Wi-Fi calling, or if you want to explicitly put certain devices on 2G. You can't, you're left to just 'trust the router'. Another example, the router wanted to put my wifes MBP on 5G for some reason, and my Razer Laptop. I don't want Laptops on 5G, that should never really happen. They should always be on 2G for reliability reasons. There are ways to get around this, but again, it's just annoying that you have to kind of smack it with a hammer to get that aspect of it to work properly. 3) The images that you can associate with devices in the Orbi management app and the browser UI are outdated. A 'Gaming Console' image is a picture of a Nintendo64.. Lol, seriously guys? Other than that, after disabling some features and tweaking a couple things on my network I have BLAZING fast internet. This is one of the most (if not the most) reliable mesh systems I have ever used. I will add an extra tidbit; Make sure that your satellites are at least 20-30 feet ( google how many feet to put the satellites ).

Easy to hook up and dramatically improved the WiFi throughout the home. Comcast in Lansdowne VA only installed their devices inside a metal box in the basement and expected it to service the house - clearly it doesn’t and unfortunately their mesh pods don’t work with the installed system so we were forced to find a third party to come to the party. The Netgear Orbi system has not dropped out once and even allows a strong FAST signal in the garage and out on the back deck. 5 stars every day of the week for this product!!!

Great Router finally happy. Coming from Linksys

I actually got this Router today. I know I'm quick to write a review but I'm so happy. I do live in a mobile home 1600 sf probobly overkill but I brought this router so my roomates son could be happy with his playstation. From the kitchen it has 2 walls to go through one accordian door my roomate built for privacy then the natural wall with a door. there were problems before hand with just a 2 G/5 G modem router. Anyway What i loved about this router was all the infomation you and customization you can do, execpt for diasabling channel steering. (But it can be done in Telenet.) With this router there was no need to. This router also tells you what node it's connected to and the link rate. (unlike the linksys) you can also adj routing preferences, change the 5G and 2G channel on your own (that you couldn't do on the linksys.) like every other router out there you can define your own DHCP scope and reserve ip addressing . If you decide to static your device it shows you the proper IP. I am not a high income earner now but I will only buy quality. This router has quality and BB has a plan of paying 12 months no interest which = $29.00 per month. The linksys VLP103 was way cheaper but was dual band. After looking online i found the vlp0203 (tri band way cheaper. but after deep study I learned it only came with 1 tri band node and 2 dual band. I felt taken so I did reserch and found this. I wanted Triband because of the dedicated channel for backhaul. and yes it paid off I have 400 mbps speed from my isp after my set up I tested it in the room in question with the gate and door closed and I got 320 and 350 both on phone and laptop. the devices has gotten the signal from the 2 nodes and router and all worked great. you know it's a great system when your getting the livingroom speed which is 50 ft away and the node in his room with only 20-30 mbps difference i think once it even matched. ( my old Arris 1682 gateway in the livingroom at times didn't even make it to that bedroom. The only thing I don't like is after you make a setting change it does take a while for it to set like 1-2 min. But I get it's better than the Linksys which used to take down the whole network (for stupid things like assigning ip address resevation. At least the netgear didn't go off line but I hate this issue as being nature of the beast. If you want a great router I think this one is a great one to buy. In any event make sure you get a Tri Band for the dedicated backhaul it makes a difference. of course Ethernet backHaul is the way to go for the best perfomance but I'm happy with the perfomace this has given without Ethernret Overall I love this router and recomend it to a friend

Been waiting a while to write this review just to make sure I actually like this thing. Well, where to begin? Let me just say this, I have a whole home WIRED network with switches, cables ran through the walls and the whole nine. The short version is it took me a while (about two weeks to get it dialed in the way I needed it to be). The reason it took me so long to get it dialed in was because I was overthinking the whole concept. Netgear makes this whole set up a breeze, it's idiot proof. Just set it up exactly as shown and boom you won't ever have to worry about your phone dropping the wifi and picking up your cell network again! I can FaceTime my mom out of state from any room in the house and it never lags! This mesh system is perfect in everyway. My mesh system has a wired backhaul which means the satelites are plugged in via ethernet cord this makes for an even better connection to the main router unit. If you are able I highly recommend using this method. Don't go with EERO, this one is a little more pricy but you get 6x more bandwith through this one.

Really happy with this mesh system. I’ve had a Netgear extender in my home for quite a while but only got about half speed when connected to it. This system allows me to run full speed everywhere in the house. Setup was very easy even though I had to go through it twice. Once the setup completed the second time everything has been stable since. I regularly have 5 people with at least 1 device streaming and another gaming at the same time and the Orbi has handles it all very well. Wife is also very please with the looks of the devices.

The Orbi system is fabulous! The system is fairly easy to set up with the Netgear Orbi app. The app is wonderful for managing your network and testing your speed. The router and satellites are stylish and will blend in well with your decor. More importantly, performance is awesome! We have the 600 Mbps package from Xfinity, and the speed to my iPhone throughout the house is usually never less than 400 Mbps. Devices transition seamlessly between router and satellites, and we have strong signals everywhere we go. Highly recommended!
