“If I understand one of these gets plug into the wall outlet and connects to my home modem. the other device plugs into wall outlet and connects to a xbox, computer etc. Am I correct? If yes how would I purchase more of the devices to connect to more items”

This device is sold in pairs. You can connect multiple computers etc., by buying multiple pairs and hooking up one to each computer you like to connect. You only need one connected to your router. All computer connections automatically “pair” with the one connected to the router, as long as you use this same brand ... Hope this helps!
