• This product carries your existing internet from your Router to any dead spot that you need . It is indeed very good for gaming. But be careful don't plug this in a surge protector or GFCI

• This won't give yo u internet if you don't already have it. It's an extender for ethernet or wifi (or BOTH depending on which one you get). You plug one end into the router, and the other into your computer, and it uses the power cables in your wall to carry the signal. But you do need to have internet in the house first. Also, not sure about gaming, but I have no problem streaming 1080p (crunchyroll, etc). It seems pretty quick to me!
