“What if I have a low download speed ? I've always been confused with different routers lile this one and how they work but im starting to fully understand it now. However my question is what if my internet service provider has my download speed to 1mb/s, will this router make my internet speed go faster to 300mb/s like it says ? Or will it bring it up to something close to that range?”

Sorry to disappoint, but the answer is no, if you only get 1mb coming in, a router will kick out 1mb, After all, it is just a relayer of signal, not a step-up router. So, do not expect miracles.
