The Night Owl 20-Channel Wired 4K 2TB DVR is designed only for use with Night Owl security cameras. It cannot function like a cable box DVR or record programming from your TV. This DVR records security camera footage directly to its built-in hard drive and plays back through the Night Owl Protect app, a monitor connected to the DVR, or a CMS software on your PC/Mac.
