With few exceptions, yes you should be able to use a new DVR with existing cameras. Our AHD, XHD and HDA Series DVRs are backwards compatible. For instance, this 1080p system will function with our analog, 720p and 1080p cameras. Note: Our 3MP and 5MP systems have Class 2 cabling that must be used with those cameras. However, the BNC cabling you currently have installed will work with our DVR systems up to 1080p. Thank you!
