No, the Quest has built in speakers that funnel the sound toward your ears. They work quite well, but if you want a richer auditory experience you will need to plug in your own headphone into one of the two 1/8 headphone jacks.

Not yet but there are mono jacks for the left and right side. Some people were also able to pair bluetooth headphones to the Quest but i requires side loading a BT controller to the headset. Occulus will be releasing official headphones for it down the road

They have built-in speakers which are okay. I would recommend getting a pair for them to really experience and immerse yourself.
