I have a Sylvania it’s about eight years old will just remote work on it? Or is there a specific remote I have to get other than the manufacture remote. I noticed some remotes have brand names on them that are only used for that TV which one can I get to null

The streamer remote should work with your Sylvania tv. However the remote will only control power volume and input as this remote is primarily meant for used with streaming box's such as roku. I would recommend a full universal remote control like our smart 8 URC 7880 if you need full control of the tv..

If you have one of the popular streaming devices like ROKU or APPLE connected to your tv, this remote works well. Most of its functions are for the streaming device. Otherwise, you may want to try something else.
