“Will the usb connection on the front of this receiver allow me to play pandora from my iPhone?”

• Answered my own question. The onkyo website has better instructions for downloading than the user manual does. You can not play an iPhone or iPod through the front USB port.I was disappointed in learning this and may cause me to return the unit. As far as the reason to play my phone via usb is because it keeps it charged while in use.

• It has bluetooth and if you have a smart TV you can play Pandora directly from the TV.

• I connect my phone via bluetooth and play SeriusXm, works flawlessly so far, but that's not the question, instructions say USB can be used to connect music containing devices so I'm fairly sure the answer is YES

• Why would you want to go usb when the Bluetooth function works fine? To answer your question, it should.

• It’s bluetooth. But if you wanted to hook it up to a cord you could.
