What kind of speakers would be best, 4 ohm or 8 ohm? null

Anything between 6 and 16 should be acceptable. Using a 4ohm speaker may overheat the amplifier.

Both loads are fine. A smaller load (4 ohm) will result in a proportionally larger power usage than an 8 ohm load ie., the 4 ohm load will demand more power output from the receiver for the same signal output voltage.
