“I have an older Yamaha receiver that overheats and says ck speaker wires when I listen to movies that have exploding sounds it just stops working. Will this receiver do that? Thanks.”

So far no problems with mine. It works flawlessly! You might want to update your receiver especially if it overheats.

This might not be the receiver's fault, it might be a short in your wires, and the receiver is just shutting off to protect your equipment. Make sure none of the exposed metal wire parts plugged into the back of the receiver or speakers are touching each other, and make sure there aren't any snags or tears in the rest of the wire (like a staple or nail holding it in place that accidentally punched through the middle of the wire).

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This receiver will handle up to 6 speakers with absolutely no issues. It is very strong and great clarity. I recommend it. You will not have any outages nwith your speakers ot receiver. Check the ratings on the speakers and receiver to be certain they are rated OK together.
