“Is clipping problem likely using this with SKB-540 7.1 speaker system? I have always thought that these were 6-ohm, 100 watt but tried looking these up online and now see some differing specs. Thank You. Older receivers have died from flaws.”

Hello Skb540, The speaker rating for the SKB 540's are 8 ohms 130 watts. I would recommend checking the receiver to see what it is able output. Is the issue only happening on certain speakers or all speakers? Have you taking the speaker that its happening to and put it onto another terminal to see if you are experiencing the same issues?
