As to the phonograph, you cannot directly connect one that REQUIRES A PREAMP to the unit. For those that do need a preamp, you would have to buy that separately. You can connect a total of FOUR audio inputs, such as a tape player, second radio, CD player, phonograph with built-in preamp, etc., counting the digital coaxial connector, which is mean for a CD player, but could be used for something else. Just about anything that has RCA connectors or can be adapted with them. In addition, there are FOUR HDMI inputs, which can be used for a game playing unit, such as an Xbox, a Blu-ray or DVD player, a cable box or satellite receiver, and even a separate streaming box. The Bluetooth question has ALREADY been answered. New invention: "reading," I think it's called. Try it sometime. Although most of you questions could be answered by the illiterate as well.
