“Can I select which speakers are active? Typically when listening to music, you only want signal going to the front left/right speakers and the subwoofer. Other brands have made this difficult by the introduction of scenes. Thanks!”

Yes, It has A and B mode. A is for left right and subwoofer. B is for all channels.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello ---- Yes, with the TXSR494 there is a variety of surround modes to choose from. To just have the 2 front speakers and the subwoofer you would just select the Stereo mode to have only those speakers be activated. Thank you Onkyo
