A:AnswerIf your DVD player is connected to the speakers then the new one will not connect to the speakers you will need some type of either a receiver with five or seven speakers or I recommend the cheaper easier way to go would be a good sound bar with a wireless sub they make some really good ones that sound great

A:AnswerIt depends on the movie you download if its decoded to 7.1 or 5.1 or dolby atmos. Better check the file first. DTS xs yes it can send signal to your reciever .
A:Answeryes but remember that there are no HDR 10 plus movies, this player don't play Dolby Vision movies on blue ray disc, amazon prime movies, Netflix, hulu, vudu and so on. the wireless wifi feature is not that good either, for $340 I couldn't get it to connect to the internet. terrible!
