Thank you for your interest in our products! Kindly be informed that the DP-UB420-K is a newer model on the market. In consequence, we cannot guarantee that it will be compatible with older units or older discs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The player only has HDMI outputs (and one optical output for audio). This is true for the majority of Blue Ray players currently available. Your best bet would be to use an HDMI to component video converter. Best Buy doesn't currently carry one, but you can order one from Crutchfield for less than $50. It works pretty well. DVDs played on a Blue Ray player look the same or better than the do on a DVD player. The player attempts to "upscale" the video to current standards, which may improve the image over a DVD player. However, if you aren't connecting with an HDMI cable, your image might only be the same or slightly degraded, but not too bad.
