Yes, this player can handle your TV and much more one of a few UHD players that will handle all current video formats and Dolby Atmos. Mine works fine right out of the box default settings with my TCL 6-series.

I have a 2018 LG OLED display and the Dolby Vision circuits kick in seamlessly on the display whenever the signal flag is present. I have never run into any level of discernible latency in the actual usage of the system. Not every UHD disk is mastered with Dolby Vision so don't expect everything you put in, especially older discs, to play back in that format. So short answer is: you should not experience any latency compatibility issues with this player. Now, a longer, more qualified answer... Always ensure your display has had any recent firmware updates installed. Dolby Vision is pretty new so it is not unusual for display and source manufacturers to offer updates that support it. If you do route the signal through an AVR, make sure your HDMI cables are rated for high speed and the AVR is capable of routing/handling the more recent HDCP 2.2 copy protection protocols. This won't likely affect latency issues, but it can't hurt. I had a three year old entry level brand name AVR that on paper said it could handle all recent protocols but the signals would occasionally blank out. I upgraded to a newer AVR and the issues all went away. This Panasonic player is incredibly versatile so be prepared to spend some time tweaking the settings. But it also is capable of delivering an incredible UHD picture (including upscaling all sources to 4k) that will make you go 'Wow' whenever you watch any UHD disk on your 4k TV. And my standard blu-ray (2k) discs look incredible when I play them back on this unit. The TV sees them as a 4k source (just no HDR as 2k discs don't have that.) Lastly, you do have several safeguards with respect to investing in this level of source unit. First, it has incredible flexibility for tweaking your picture and sound. Second, Best Buy will let you return it if you are not satisfied. Third, it has future proofing to the extent anything does these days, through firmware updates and audio out options. Final note: I loved this player so much that I bought a second one for my media room projection system, replacing an entry level 4k unit that I thought was just fine until I saw what this unit could do to improve that system. So I seriously doubt you would have any regrets spending the extra dollars on this player... I know I don't.

Have you checked your Panasonic to see if it has the latest firmware. You may want to contact them about your TV. It's a matter of checking your vendors and your equipment to make sure your equipment is up to date. You may also want to check with AVSForum.com. They have a special forum for the Panasonic and you can also check with them to see if your equipment is compatible. Best of luck. I have a projector and it seems a little easier to deal with. The Geek Squad is another option. I bought their service contract and they came out and set all of my things up. It's really worth the $129.
