“Can I get DD and DTS from the optical out? I only get Dolby Pro-logic from the optical out to my Denon AVR-3805 (no HDMI). I get DD and DTS in 5.1 and DD EX and DTS 7.1 from my Samsung BD-F6700 connected AVR. Adapter for the HDMI Audio out after $400?”

The optical out is geared for your TV. This unit runs primarily HDMI out, with some RCA out for 7.1 audio (if needed). Keep in mind, this unit runs a seperate HDMI out for audio, and one for video. They are not paird in the same cable. My reciever has Dolby Atmos in it. This unit will channel all the sound to your receiver and now it's up to your receiver to filter it properly. It is built in with 7.1, so it will do fine in most home theaters. It makes my Dolb Atmos really stand out, when compared to the lower qualtiy LG unit I replaced.
