You can use the analog outputs to run wires straight to the speakers but I would only do so if you don’t need the higher volumes of better sound file decoding that a receiver provides. If you just want to listen to the sound at normal TV volume in 5.1 or 7.1 decoding then you can skip a receiver/amp.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The audio outputs on this player have to be attached to an amplifier/receiver. They are not speaker outputs; they are RCA jacks. This unit does not have an amplifier built in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hooking it directly to speakers only gives enough volume to hear if you have your ear next to speaker. Critchfield states you need an amplifier after numerous inquiries as to why there was no bolume.
