A lot of variables affect the settings. Room acoustics, speaker placement, viewing distance and your hearing are the primary concerns. Personally I would not worry about the settings as much as I would what you hear. Choose the setting You like best.

Super Steve,

A sound bar...isn't super, isn't hardly mediocre. To be Super, one must invest some cash into a surround sound system. Get that wattage pumping, feel the sound, the channel separation that was engineered into your $200 million dollar blockbuster.
