Yes, there would be a charge for the Best Buy "Geek Squad" to install. However, installation of this "ad-on" automotive security item needn't be fancy and can be done yourself. Just plug into accessory 12 volt (cigarette lighter plug), suction-cup camera to convenient spot on windshield, and then format the SD card (just follow directions in manual) and you're literally good to go. Camera has an on-off switch right on it, or one can unplug from car. To view video files, I shut off unit, removed SD card and put SD card in my home computer and easily viewed the files.

The passenger has never gotten tangle up in it either. It’s pretty simple. It has a suction cup to put it on the window. Then you plug it into a cigarette lighter plug. Mines worked wonders for me.
