“new HP 23.8 all in one touch screen. Tried plugging in external speakers using the headset jack . Got it going once now nothing, It seems the plug is not making a good connection. Ear buds not working either. Bad jack?”

Thank you for your question. Have you gone to the speaker icon at the lower right of the screen and right clicked it, selected "sounds" and made sure the computer has the headphone jack selected as the default device? If you have any issues with the computer I recommend reaching out to HP Technical support as they could quickly find out if it is a defect or just a software issue.
