“Is the gen 3 hub backwards compatable with older gen 1 & 2 lamps, strips, bloom, iris, and strips? I just purchased a new gen 3 starter kit for better color bulbs, but the new hub will not find or activate the older gen 1 which I still want to control”

Yes. Technically it's a gen 2 hub (there's no gen 3 hub). The part of this pack that's "gen 3" are the bulbs, because they have a wider color range. You can add bulbs that you've already used with another hub, but it's not automatic, since you synced those bulbs to another setup previously. You have to add the bulbs back one-by-one using their serial number (printed on the bulbs themselves). A little tedious, but not impossible!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will work with older models. All you'd have to do is reset those older bulbs. Once the older bulbs are reset just connect them as new bulb to the new bridge
