These are outdoor bulbs, but I actually use them indoors in a lamp, since they are brighter than the standard A19 Hue bulbs. The 'PAR' part just refers to the size of the bulb itself. The bulb base (the part that screws into the light socket) is the same as a standard light bulb. Since these bulbs are LED, they do not produce the heat that you find with a regular incandescent bulb, so use in recessed lighting would be absolutely fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can. They fit into BR30 recesses. However, they are really bright, so I wouldn’t recommend them for indoor use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t recommend using in your indoor receptacles because when I initially installed this outdoor light on my porch which has the same sized receptacle as those inside my house, I found that this outdoor light is larger and hard to fit into the receptacle. Initially, the pole with it’s holder holding the bulb was such a tight squeeze that when retracting the pole holder from the light bulb the whole receptacle pulled loose from the porch ceiling! I had to go buy a new pole light holder (or whatever it’s called). Barely got the receptacle back in place. Whew!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So far mine are working very well in my recessed lights and they fit well also.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They make one for indoor use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t see why not. The quality of the light produced is awesome.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can use this light bulb in a recessed fixture.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I was able to do that. It works perfectly for me. Earlier all the bulbs in my recessed lighting were controlled by the single electrical switch and thus either all of them were on or all off. But now, I am able to control all of them individually.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, but philips makes some hue bulbs that work with recessed can lights.
