Q: QuestionSo i seen a previous question about it being compatible with steering wheel controls which was answered yes it is. However if you look under the overview it says it is not, and i don’t see an input on the back for them.

• A:Answer This unit has a micro HDMI port on the back. If your vehicle is in Park, and the parking brake is engaged, and you connected the wires correctly so that the unit can tell the parking brake is engaged, and you purchase and connect a separate cable to connect your phone to the micro HDMI port, then yes, this unit will mirror the screen on your phone at 800x400 (WVGA) resolution.

• A:Answer When you give hotspot data to the receiver you can go online and go to youtube website. What i found out is that you can not have android auto runnng and give the receiver data through hotspot at the same time. It is also a slower on the receiver than on your phone. You need to download carAVAssist app on your phone and follow steps to click agree on a lot of pioneer pages. That way you can access the internet on receiver. Another thing is that when the vehicle is moving you can not view youtube. A message will appear on screen telling you so.

• A:Answer This unit will fit pretty much any double d in install the radio is short so lots of room. There are two issue. 1 mounting kit. They are not specific enough to fit well. I chose to use existing radio brackets and afloat plastic face plate DDT-1515. I found it work the best of all. Also if you do not have a vss+ signal to the radio you may be able to tap the gas to the ABS brake module if you are careful. There a person on youtube who sells an adapter if you cannot find a vss+ signal. His adapter uses two more GPS sensors. On the faceplate adapter just trim off the outside extra on the outside. Do not trim the inside.

• A:Answer Crutchfield might have the caveat that you will need to modify your stereo harness or need additional parts to make it fit in your vehicle and Best Buy might not take those into consideration. Usually I’d trust Crutchfield but if you are still uncertain I’d reach out to a Crutchfield and see what they say since I would say they are more Subject Matter Experts than Best Buy is.
