I would imagine not, unless there are a completely different set of controls from the unit they are replacing. If the dvd controls are in/on the unit being replaced, this particular apple car play unit will not have the ability to control the dvd unit. I could be wrong, but that is my understanding. I would check with Best Buy to confirm this though. Good luck!
