Installation was included in the purchase, but I didn't want to wait for the installation date, so I installed it myself. It was my first time installing something like this, but it was overall pretty simple once I learned the basics. The system is awesome. The screen is ok, and it gets hard to see sometimes if the sun is shining directly on it, but that's the only time I have a hard time seeing it. The audio quality is great, and I love using Android Auto. The screen is responsive and big enough to see the while driving. Very happy with this purchase.

I had originally purchased a head in unit online only to discover I had purchased the wrong one. I had purchased one with wired Apple CarPlay, and I wanted one that was wireless. I went to the store to make the exchange and the salesman found one that was open box That would have been a $200 difference from what I have purchased. I bought it and a few days later, had the install appointment. I drop the car off, went and had a sandwich and before I knew it, the install was finished. Needless to say, the install was perfect, I am enjoying my new stereo and highly recommend Best Buy to anyone looking to upgrade their car stereo.

I have a 2005 Toyota Matrix and I love my car but did not like being without Bluetooth for my phone and my Apple Music play. I also purchased a backup camera and I feel like I’m driving a brand new car. It works flawlessly and sounds great with my original 6 speakers.

This is a pretty amazing upgrade which we purchased for our sons car as a Christmas gift. He is driving a hand-me down 2009 Sonata, and being a teenager licensed for only a year, his music is of utmost importance to him. We were able to order this for him online, on sale, with the installation. The manner in which Best Buy guided me through the purchase, made sure I had the correct harness and in-dash mount kit was pretty simple and easy to navigate. A great gift, and easy to complete without much experience in putting car stereos in. While his existing radio was older, it was the upgrade Infinity stereo unit, with the inline amp and great speakers. The audio tech at Best Buy walked me through that prior to the install, and had me feeling pretty good that the existing speakers and amp were going to provide a great audio experience that the new head unit would deliver. Within an hour it was installed, and he took the time to give a great demo of the unit, walking through all of the awesome features- most important of which for us was the Apple Play. My sone has an iPhone, and the connectivity of the phone to the unit was like making the stereo an extension of the phone. It was pretty amazing, and with the voice activation microphone (also installed with the unit), it was about as hands-free of a driving audio experience as you can ask for- important to us with a new driver on the road. With the apple play, it ported the Apple navigation to the head unit, and my son had a nav system now, all touch screen on the unit so he isn't fumbling with a phone. While my son (seventeen this year) will never likely understand or use the AM/FM aspects of the unit, the music capabilities for him through iTunes, Spotify, Pandora and Sirius are an enormous catalogue of listening opportunities, and the sound absolutely kills. Using only about half volume proved to be a bit much, but with some awesome clarity, little distortion, and amazing mids/highs and bass. Solid unit for the cost, with the Pioneer name behind it. At the price point, it is a pretty amazing buy, and I'm already trying to talk my wife into getting me one for my aging truck, it would be a huge upgrade to the stock unit inside now. Would recommend!

I really wanted a unit which had apple car play, Bluetooth and actual buttons which weren’t part of the touch screen. This one checked every box and looks great. I really like the fact I can change the color of the buttons to match the interior lighting. Geek Squad had the install done in no time at all. 100% would recommend letting them do the install to avoid any unnecessary headaches. This unit dramatically improved the sound quality of my car audio even though I maintained the same speakers. (2006 Sierra factory Bose)

I have had this unit in my truck for over a year now. Installed myself. I do have some previous experience but I think a person that takes their time could do the same. Set up took some time and ended up getting advice. There are a lot of customizations available. The only frustrating part was switching it to where it stays bright all the time. Otherwise if you turn on your lights in the daytime the screen dims. Besides that which I imagine a tech could do in 30 seconds I am very pleased. Drives my component system with a thump even without an amp. (I am wiring a separate usb still in this picture)

Got this Pioneer DMH-1500NEX to replace stock radio in 2017 Subaru Outback. Had to buy an installation kit to make it compatible as it required an idatalink module and harness to work in my vehicle. The sound is great, and it is nice to have Apple Car Play in my car now. The screen is a good size, and it does everything my stock radio did and more. It is a little slow loading when starting the vehicle, and the back up camera view is not as bright as the stock radio. With that being said, I still would rather have this unit with Apple Car Play.

My 2009 needed to update my new used old car. Car runs great just needed it to be more modern. Stereo sound just as good if not better than the stock radio, never had complaints about the sound, i just wanted modern features without the clutter of wires from external Gps or bluetooth. Easy to install if you get the right stuff & do some research. U will need to buy a double din dash for your specific car, wire harness for ur make of car (get a preassmble one where u just have to crimp, & possible some other stuff depending on what ur current car has and whether it can just be plugged in or need an adaption to work. Touch screen works well, i believe its resistive; i dont have to pound the screen and its accurate i feel. Android auto seems to work ok, but you may have to do extra wiring because the unit needs to be connected to parking brake wire otherwise some features wont work. BT connects easily. Mic pics up voic well on calls im told. Con, Android Auto takes extra work, Apple carplay you don't connect parking brake juat plug iphone to usb. Con is screen could have been hd for price and no HD Radio. Con XM Sirius ready, but not built in will need to purchase that seperate or i guess stream from phone to stereo to save bucks.

So I have been stuck with the factory radio since I bought my Altima and wanted to upgrade. I did my research and stumbled across this radio. I did some more research and decided to have Geek Squad install it and I must say, it looks fantastic! It sounds great and it’s easy to use. Having directions where I can see them is so much better than having my phone sit in the cup holder where I can’t see the directions but only hear them. Definitely recommend this radio!

Installed this unit on a 2012 raptor in conjunction with the i datalink interface and f01 harness. The unit works flawlessly. I was able to utilize the factory back up camera into the pioneer and equipped a 4 channel highs/mids amp for the door speaker and 2 jl tw3 12s for subs and the unit plays them clean and strong. Out of 40 for the volume limit, you can go up to 37-38 no distortion on the input signal. With the idatalink yes you get the gauges on the unit such at speedometer, fuel, throttle, etc. CarPlay works amazing although you need to use the usb connection it is not wireless and utilize a bypass sold online to rid the lockout unless your in park with the brake up. Bluetooth works well for calls and audio streaming, av allows you to have video playback off an aux source. I used it to mirror my iPhone onto the screen for video playback

Wow, Thank you so much Best Buy! My old car(2011 Hyundai Veracruz) got a new life. I've been using a FM transmitter and sound wasn't good as the original. Now I can feel and listen the original sound been missing for a long time. And also, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay works very well. Now I am thinking adding a subwoofer.

I have a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria that has just over 25k miles. The engine and all of the car is in great condition and I plan to keep it for the rest of my life. But the radio started to cause problems. After talking to experts, the best thing to do was replace the radio. I've had a lot of Pioneer products over the years and I decided to buy this Radio. It's 7" and has a great screen for using all of the apps. I can connect my phone and have access to all of the apps on the phone. Great for Maps. If you have an older car that doesn't have the Map for directions while you're driving, this is a great solution. I love it!

A definite Best Buy and one of the nicest $300 touchscreens I’ve ever seen. Installation was quick and other than needing the steering wheel control module after I was Told I wouldn’t need it hopefully the second go round with the installer will be the last. An easy to use and amazing sounding radio loaded with lots of awesome features. I knew the DMH-1500NEX was gonna be the one to get and man did I have to wait and hunt to get it but in the end out of stock didn’t mean out of stock at all as Best Buy also has an EBay page so don’t give up folks! Pioneer is it!

This receiver, transform by car into the CarPlay era. Those all it says it will.. like past reviewers have said very nice very modern. I got an extra gadget so that I could use carplay without having to hook it to a wire. Just be aware!!! The wire harness required for install plus your new car interface… antenna..extc…will cost more than the unit itself. Make sure to buy on sale.

The radio has great back camera in my car which is better than the original one i had that has better wider screen and parking diagram. Great built in GPS system and screen when connecting my phone on android drive. Love that i can customize my screen design and color options they have available. It has pandora and other music apps that i can listen to that shows picture of the ablum, name of artist, and name of songs while playing. Great touchscreen and voice control including text notifications while driving.

Bought this as an upgrade from my stock stereo on my Nissan Sentra. The Apple car play itself is worth the upgrade, system works smoothly and have had no issues

Loved this product! This is a great option if you have an older model vehicle and you want to be able to use car play. This also helped when we installed a back rear view camera which was so important for us

Had installed in my 16 year old daughter’s 2011 F150 and works great. Really updated the truck with Apple car play for easy streaming of favorite music, maps and SIRI. Especially like the added backup camera since truck did not have one from factory.

Good but over price for not carplay wireless but is good sound
