I think you may need to use a 3.5mm Headset Splitter Adapter. Or select "internal microphone" for sound input.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The MacBook Air has just one jack for audio, which includes output to headphones as well as input from a microphone, in the same way that a cell phone has just one jack for both audio output and input. This headset comes with a short adapter cable that converts the two plugs from the headset to a single plug for your cell phone, or in your case, your MacBook Air. In any case, you should be able to return the headphones if it turns out they won't work with your MacBook Air.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You'll need a Y (sometimes spelled Wye) connector that can combine the two ring connectors used by the mic and headphones into one three ring connector that the MacBook will recognize as a mic/headphone combo. They make dedicated ones that label the mic and headphone inputs, and I know best buy sells them, but I couldn't find them on the website so I "recommended" the next best thing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Do you mean you laptop only has one jack that is for headphones? If so, you may need to buy an adapter that has the 3 rings around the silver part that goes in to the jack, or you could just use your mic that is built into your Mac while only using the headphones. Hope that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has worked great with my Macbook Pro.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, not going to work with MacBook Air, you need a single-jack device for that laptop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The headphones should have come with an adapter to turn the two plugs into one
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The package comes with the Y adapter
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Macbook Air has a 4-pin audio jack like is on the iPhone. When hooking up a headset that has both a headphone and microphone plug, you will need an adapter that combines them into a single 4-pin plug.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello- This headset is designed for use with PC's that have duel 3.5mm ports for the microphone and speakers. It will not work with a computer that has one port for both.
