I received these headphones as a gift from my wife. They have a good comfortable fit and great sound response. I am a musician and I need to hear things clearly. The Plantronics 355 headset has met the mark. My wife purchased them at Best Buy during the Christmas rush and she had no problems purchasing them and everyone was kind and helpful. I would recommend the Plantronics 355 headset to anyone who listens or records music, or any gamer. I haven't played video games for quite some time but I know these would do the job well.

I bought this headset for use on my computer and video calls. This headset has a double jack (1 for mic, 1 for audio) and comes with an adapter for the 3.5mm jack. First impression was that the sound was decent and clear. However, while on calls, I would be choppy and get cut off every time there was a background sound or someone else would speak. Before deciding to return I decided to give one more try and get a USB audio adapter sound card for $8 or so. It now works GREAT. Apparently the 3.5 mm jack tries plays via analog signal. Using the USB jack converts to digital and the sound and speaking works perfectly. So if purchasing, undestand in order to optimize, you will need a USB adapter for the headset.

The Plantronics 355 Headset is an excellent choice for 3.5" connection to a PC or phone. It has clear stereo sound, excellent noise cancelling microphone, and comfortable headband and ear cups. It is used for video conferences and to listen to music. We've owned it for almost 2 years and it has held up well with daily use. Highly recommended.

It's not bad as a microphone headset for the price I paid. I like the microphone and headphone, separately. There isn't any instructional manual. This package it came with a headset, a 3.5 mm adapter, warranty card, safety pamphlet, limited warranty and arbitration agreement and something in Chinese. They are all printed in Mexico. On the package, I see "Windows Compatible" but not knowing which version of Windows. In reality, it works without the adapter if you have a computer comes with both microphone and headset jacks. If you have a single jack, the adapter won't work. So, I ended up buying a USB adapter to work. If I knew this, I'd buy a USB microphone headset instead. I didn't test it on smart phone yet. Because it's not what I needed it for.

Thank you for your honest review on our .audio 355 headset. This model is intended for PC use and by default it connects to separate audio ports (one for the microphone, the other ones for the speakers) but can also be used on computers with 3.5mm headset ports and mobile devices that use the same combo jack. Please don't hesitate to contact us at www.plantronics.com/support if you require assistance. Plantronics

wanted a good value headset with a built-in microphone for studying languages on a tablet. This one is great, fits over ears, has volume control built-in to cord, and plugs in to an iPad.

I approve of this product, it's quite comfortable - the feel is nice, the sound is very clear. One drawback for me is extended wear time - the ear pads become sweaty which is uncomfortable; it would be nice if there was a removable/reusable cotton or terrycloth cover for the pads. As of right now the pads are very comfortable - they simply get TOO warm and wet over time.

He wanted the coolness of the pull down mic bar. He's autistic and rough on things. Great price for me to try them and they are still working great! Made him feel like a pilot on our last flight he had them on the entire time.

I bought this item to replace a much more expensive higher quality headset with a microphone so I could work from home and talk to clients by phone. The device no longer was functional when I upgraded to Windows 8.1, and I found out that this was because there was no driver that would work for the USB-based system. Best Buy honored the warranty, I got my money back and I bought this item which has not as high a quality sound, but it is not USB-based, it plugs directly into my computer's mike and earphone plugs (which are immediately adjacent), and so it will always work no matter what system upgrades take place. It also has an adapter to convert the two-plug configuration with 3-prong plugs to a one plug, 4-prong configuration that would allow me to use it with my iPhone (if I lose the regular earbuds). In short, this will always work and the noise-canceling earphones give me very acceptable quality sound. For the money it's a honey.

I like this product, its has soft cups over the ears plus padded upper strap for your crown. It is comfortable for long play times. fully adjustable with a flexible mic. I would have rated it 5 stars but didn't because the cord is very short and the volume control is limited. over all it is worth it for a $18 entry level headset.

I recently purchased this headset after trying a few others that were not as well made or comfortable. I really like this headset because it has very clear audio for my laptop and even when I'm using my Skype phone online. I love the the big oval shaped ear phones which are nicely padded. It makes a huge difference in how long you'll where them! These fit over my entire ear and don't give me a headache like some others have. When I'm on my Skype phone, people say I sound pretty clear. I'm not parting with these no time soon. I think they're great if you want something very affordable and comfortable that does what its suppose to do!

They work really well and are very comfortable. I have some big ears, so it's hard to find a product that I can wear for an extended time, but these hold up pretty well. I do need to take them after a couple hours, or so, but I usually just drop one side off, so one ear can take a break at a time.

I have used Plantronics for years in an office setting only. This was the first time using a home based product. It did not disappoint. The sound was clear and crisp, even on the lowest volume setting. The microphone sounds great to people on the other end. I bought this for online gaming, but also just to listen to music. I don't like the bulky headsets they typically have for gaming, so this item is not only smaller so it fits my head better, but significantly less expensive than the actual "gaming" brands. A great price and product. I highly recommend it.

For the novice or budget PC gamer looking and feeling pro is important. While most of the people you know on consoles are sporting high end Turtle Beach headsets you might be used to the simpler type you can find for Xbox and PlayStation systems. This device fills the gap between the entry level console gamer headsets and the ultra pro sets you see at LAN parties and in E3 videos. The mic has good pick up and with tuning can almost eliminate background noise. The earphones have a good pressure but don't envelop your ears in mini, personalized, sweat boxes like the bigger models can. They stay comfy even after a multi hour playing session. They sound good enough to satisfy the base requirements of most any audiophile. They adapt easily to various systems as well. Most PC gamers will insist on something from the high end but these work nearly as well for a fraction of the price. Great for newbies, budget gamers or as a backup set for the 'other' computer you have laying around.

I went into the store looking for something completely different. I stumbled on to this Plantronics headset and needed to replace my old headset. I'm not a gamer, so I wasn't looking to spend a fortune on a premium headset nor a console specific headset. The sound quality is very good, not as good as my Bose QC15's, but still very good. The cord that exits the headset from the left earpiece is plenty long enough and has both a volume control and microphone mute switch. The cord ends with 3.5 mm plugs, one for the microphone, another for the speakers. The plugs do indicate which is the mic and which is the speakers, but in low light, those indicators are not easy to see. The integrated beam microphone is also mounted on the left earpiece. It stays where it is put, yet easily swings out of the way. The left and right earpieces are NOT indicated on the headset, but can be easily determined by movement of the beam microphone's movement range. This headset is perfect for the early morning internet calls with my European counterparts or catching a short internet video. The downside of this headset is the pressure on the ears gets wearisome. Other than the limited flexibility of the head band, there is no lateral rotation of the earpieces.

These headphones have good sound quality and they work on all of our devices. That is the reason we bought them and they have worked out well. They would be a little more comfortable if the earpiece was a little bigger to better fit over the ears.
