Yes..it holds well in the ear..no hook needed and has a rubber pad for comfort

Yes but it bothered my ear for two weeks before I clipped off that part. I currently use the over the ear clip

I wouldn't feel it secure without the earhook. However the earhook and device is so light I can hardly tell it is on.

I only use it with the hook. I would assume it would pop out with out it. Everyone's ear is a different shape.

The way the earbud is made, it is "supposed" to allow you to use it without the ear hook, but it has been my experience that it does not work without falling out.

Yes but I do not recommend not using the ear hook if you are walking or moving around.

I use the ear hook piece to hold it more securely in my ear. Without it it would simply fall out.
