If you look at the pictures the vent of the console is on top and the cover doesn't seem to block it by design no matter what position the cover is in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Switch cannot be docked with the hybrid cover because the opening for the dock is too narrow. However, it can be charged with the hybrid cover using the charging cable. I haven't had any issues leaving my Nintendo Switch plugged in to charge overnight while using the hybrid cover, nor have I noticed my Switch get hot while charging from the cable with the hybrid cover. As for the dock, the Switch does get hotter in the dock than in tablet mode, which may be an issue if you have a plastic screen protector attached (this product comes with a plastic screen protector). A tempered glass screen protector should be less susceptible to heat than the one that comes with this product. However, the hybrid cover itself must be removed before placing the Switch in the dock.

Please try again later.NO, the Switch cannot be used with its dock with this cover, the hybrid cover is to think at the USB port to allow for a good connection, and the cover is to think to fit the dock too. If your willing to wedge the switch into your $90 dock with this cover on it (mind you, you could break your dock, no I don't think it would over heat the unit as the cover has holes in it so air can continue to circulate through it. I would DEFINATELY NOT recommend you to have this cover on the Switch and attempt breaking your dock by wedging it into it!! Replacement docks are like $90 or more to replace!!
