QuestionAlthough the rear camera comes with nigh vision, I suppose it isn't a good idea to install the rear camera inside a sedan with all tinted windows. There are no stock photos showing where the rear camera should be mounted. Is the rear camera waterproof?

- Answer The rear facing camera has the cable hard wired onto it. You might get away with mounting it outside. It does not say waterproof on it. My windows are tinted. Though not overly dark. The back glass is severely angled, which has the effect of making the tint darker. I still get a good picture out of the rear. At night, the headlights of the following vehicle distort the picture more than the tint.

QuestionIf I want upgrade from a V1P Pro to this unit, will I still be able to reuse the existing power connections from the V1P Pro? How about the windshield mount? This will help reduce install time tremendously if it does,

- Answer If your existing power connections for the V1P Pro are SHWK-V1P-PRO, then that wire connection kit is listed as working with the V1P MAX. The V1P Max uses 3M adhesive to mount the front camera and not a separate item to mount the camera to the windshield.

QuestionI purchased the Rexing V1P Max with an Intelligent Hardwarware kit. The camera works great but it shuts off after 30s secs to 1 minute of recording. I double check my wiring and everything looks good. Does anyone have a similar issue?

- Answer Are you sure that the unit is turning off and it's not just the display? My Rexing has an option for the camera display to be always on while the vehicle is running or you can set it to screensaver mode where the camera display will go off after 30 seconds although it's still recording.

- Answer Although it may have a 4K label that does not give you the megapixel rating of the sensor. There are a few manufacturers that state that their cameras are 4K but they are not true 4K.

- Answer Adjust resolution from screen menu. With record off, press menu button twice to enter settings. There is a small switch on the rear camera. It can be used to switch mirror mode on or off.
