QuestionI’ve heard that the Ring floodlight struggles sometimes to connect to WiFi—are we able to plug it in to our internet? Does it have any Ethernet or phone jack plug ins on it?

Additionally, Floodlight Cam is only compatible with 2.4 GHz frequencies. Questionhow long will the lights stay on once motion has stopped? Is this something you can adjust?

- Answer 30 seconds up to 15 minutes. Yes you can adjust it. If you activate the light on a schedule or use the app to turn it on, it stays on.

- Answer I too live in the Arctic region and I have not seen any issues with mine, we are currently at -8 degrees. The only thing that the cold will impact the most is the video quality and if it runs on a battery it will drain the battery faster. I have yet to experience the -40 temps this year, although it does rate the temperature operation conditions on the box from -22 to 120 degrees.

QuestionSo what's the purpose of the 8mm cable are these to be hardwired and what do they get hard wire to is it to the wifi device or are they Wireless and the wires that need to be run the 8 mm or for recording audio can you explain why you have to run wiring

- Answer Hey sparky if you install the flu where an existing fixture had been there's no romex to be ran. Yes the light has to be hardwired to provide power to the device. Then all of its features are operated over WIFI. EVERYTHING, the live view, the recording, the siren and speaker and so on.

- Answer Yes it can, you’ll have to adjust the camera around. It works good but definitely made more for vertical. Seem to have more range of motion when mounted Vertical.

- Answer I installed it where I currently had a standard outdoor fixture. It was very easy. You only need to pay monthly if you want it to record. If you just want the light and to see if something is there when it detects motion you don't have to pay. I did this with doorbell until I decided I wanted to record.

- Answer Yes. I use mine with out notifications turned on and only view footage when I want rather than getting rung every time there is movement.

QuestionIt says that this light runs on 240Vs. Can this floodlight be hooked up to an outside light on the garage that's 110Vs? Or, does the wiring have to be rewired? Not sure if this will cause the light not to perform 100% and will it pass code?

- Answer I believe that’s a typo. I purchased 2 of them and replaced my outdoor spot lights with them and they work perfectly. All my outdoor lights are 110v. I did notice that when I was purchasing them but figured I take a chance. Ok Maybe it’s not a typo Behind the light it said AC:100-240v I’m guessing it can be used with both. I will add a picture but no worries they work perfectly with 110v
