A:AnswerYes the camera's will record video and sound. You can also speak remotely through the camera. I've 6 of them. You can link all camera's to record when one of the senses motion or alerts. They also have a decent siren you can set of too.
A:AnswerThe doorbell is the only one I've linked to Alexa. My six camera's alert to my phone via ring app. I honestly haven't attempted to have them alert through Alexa.
A:AnswerHello,
The Ring Stick Up Cam is designed to be something you can rely on without a paid subscription. Your device will allow you to detect, see, and speak with visitors at your home.
A Ring Protect Plan is our optional cloud-based subscription service to help store past Ring events, amongst other perks.

A:AnswerThe mount can be set up to sit up or hang down while keeping the camera in the correct position. You can't flip the camera, the pic will be upside down, but the mount makes it possible to hang from an eave.
A:AnswerHello Lotus19,
No, you don't have to connect the Ring Stick Up Wire Free Cam to a Ring Video Doorbell to view activity detected by the camera. We believe it's important that a potential customer have clear product features and specifications available to them prior to purchase. While subscribed to one of our optional Ring Protect Plans, you will be able to access videos from every motion and live view event for up to 60 days (US). You can also access, download, and share past Ring videos.
Without this service, you will still receive real-time video alerts on your smartphone as well as have access to the Live View feature. Additional information about our optional Ring Protect Plan can be found on our website at https://ring.com/protect-plans.

A:AnswerHello Jackie.
In order to get proper motion detection, Ring battery-powered cameras using passive infrared motion detection, such as the Stick Up Cam, should not be placed facing a window or in front of a glass door. We recommend mounting the device outside to get the most accurate motion detection.
