“Does the wired version have a battery backup in case the power goes out. And, if so how long would the battery backup last.”

I don’t believe it has a battery backup but if you go with the wireless battery version version you can go with the solar panel which I have that works great. The only problem is if the power goes out either way you won’t be connected to WiFi so I am not sure if the recordings would actually be made in that case anyway even with battery or solar backup.

Hi KP, Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, no. In order for your Spotlight Cam Wired to function it needs to remain plugged in at all times. Additionally, due to the fact that your Ring device is reliant on WIFI if the power does go out your Ring device should automatically reconnect once power is restored. thanks, Kaitlyn R., Neighbor Satisfaction Specialist [email protected]
