A:AnswerWe purchased same 2 pack and it does only came with one battery for each camera and can use two if purchase another one. The batteries do not come charged you have to charge them up. It took 2 days for ours to completely charge up. We have had them up fo two weeks and still have a little less then 3/4 battery left.
A:AnswerYes
1) I bought four of the wireless (battery version). So far satisfied with performance (some glitchy stuff, but seems to be settling out) -- but mostly because I intended to connect them to the AC power to keep the batteries charged, relying on the batteries if should the AC go off. To do that, I called your help desk and asked, what is the specs for the barrel connector socket on the back (needed to select an AC to 5V DC wall adapter with the appropriate barrel connector). First they asserted it was impossible (recommended the wired one), then after I pointed out the solar panel has to plug in somewhere, they denied knowing anything about the specifications for the socket on the back. Totally oblivious and unhelpful
2) I got out my calipers and measured and confirmed the barrel connector socket on the back is 3.5 mm x 1.35 mm -- so I bought AC to 5V USB wall adapters and USB to barrel connector (3.5 mm x 1.35mm) cables on amazon and they're doing a fine job keeping the batteries charged up.
A:AnswerMy first charge yesterday took approximately 6 hours using the usb wire and an adapter plugged into an outlet in the house. My biggest issue was getting the WiFi to connect to the Ring WiFi extender which was only 5 feet away from the unit outside. It finally connected but I’m not sure I could depend on it for Security. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerHi Stuetoo,
Great question.
Your Floodlight Cam lights will turn on when motion is detected, however, you do have the option to manually turn your Floodlight Cam lights off and on through the Ring App. Additionally, our Floodlight Cam has a Night Vision feature which enables you to be able to see activity that is occurring at night without the lights on.

A:AnswerAssuming average use, the batteries should give you six months of life before needing to be recharged. If you have any further questions, please reach me at [email protected]!
A:AnswerYes you can play the siren on the camera itself from a button in the app, you can also speak through it from your phone, but not play the dog barking or chime sounds.
A:AnswerNo. Using the app you can only view one camera at a time. You be able to switch views should another camera alert while viewing the one previously selected.
A:AnswerHi Rich,
Thanks for reaching out!
Yes, if you have a solar panel, your device will still be running off the battery as well. Additionally, the only colors available for our Spotlight Cam are black and white.

A:AnswerHi Bobster61,
Thanks for reaching out to me!
Our optional cloud service plan for $3/month allows you to access/download/share past Ring videos. Without this service, you'll still receive real-time video alerts on your smartphone as well as have access to Live View.

A:AnswerHi Samename,
Thanks for reaching out.
Yes, it is possible that your Spotlight Cam will pick up small animals passing by, however, your motion sensitivity slider is your tool to determine exactly what you want your Spotlight Cam to react to. By moving the slider between "People Only" and "All Activity," you can fine-tune your Ring device to fit the particular circumstances of your location.
Please see this article for more information: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004171383-Using-the-Motion-Sensitivity-Slider-on-Your-Spotlight-Cam.
If I can assist you further please feel free to email me at [email protected].

A:AnswerAs long as you set your ring account up thru your home WiFi and download the ring app to your phone, you can access the spotlight or any ring product anywhere.
A:AnswerMy boyfriend had his phone on showing our puppies play in the backyard and I had the video playing off my monitor at the same time so yes, you can use more than one item at the same time.
A:AnswerYes, there is a port for the plug on the back of it. It’s still battery operated, but will help keep the battery last longer with the solar charge.
A:AnswerHi Dotgrand,
Great question!
If you purchase our Spotlight Cam Solar, batteries are still needed, however, you should not have to charge the batteries because the Solar Panel is meant to hold the charge. Additionally, our Spotlight Cam puts out 700 Lumens, whereas the Floodlight Cam puts out 1,800 Lumens each.
If you have any more questions please feel free to contact me directly at [email protected].

A:AnswerIt comes with one battery, The camera actually takes two batteries and I highly recommend you purchase an additional battery. I bought an extra battery for the convenience of always having a charged battery to easily switch out depleted battery. That is happening TOO frequently, so I will use my extra battery as a second battery in camera. My other camera works great with one battery and a solar panel!
A:AnswerHello RAO,
Great question!
Our Spotlight Cam Wire- Free Includes one 6,000 mAH Ring battery pack.
Additionally, Our Spotlight Cam Wire- Free does have the ability to hold two Ring battery packs for long-lasting battery life. If one dies, the device automatically switches to the second battery for power (additional batteries are $29(US) each).
