“What is the expected life of the lights, and when the bulbs do burn out, do you have to replace the whole unit (another $200 ... or more)?”

Hello Postal, Great question! The LED lights in the Spotlight Camera Battery are not replaceable. The two bright LED light strips are rated to last thousands of hours, though.
