“In connecting to wi-if , can you use the 5G network or is it just the 2.4ghz ? My 2.4 is very crowded . Also, can I have several cameras connected to different wi-fi connections , such as in a neighborhood watch set up and still be available to use 1 act?”

Either 2.4 or 5G. It depends on how good the signal is. Generally 5G is better however it does not reach as far as 2.4. Consider using an app to find which signal is stronger in relationship to the cameras. Plus if 2.4 has a lot of phones tablets etc. they will interfere with the camera. Not sure about the 2nd question sorry.
