• Yes you can adjust so it only picks up human activity. I actually have one up as a trail cam for squirrels too! I have the spotlight disabled on that one!

• The camera allows you to turn off lights in settings..enable people detection to minimize cats in middle of night... it does however slow down notifications if you use that option.
