    Asked by Sparky.

    • Answer The mount can be set up to sit up or hang down while keeping the camera in the correct position. You can't flip the camera, the pic will be upside down, but the mount makes it possible to hang from an eave.

  • QuestionDoes this need to be connected to the actual doorbell in order to view the recordings?

    Asked by Lotus19.

    • Answer Hello Lotus19, No, you don't have to connect the Ring Stick Up Wire Free Cam to a Ring Video Doorbell to view activity detected by the camera. We believe it's important that a potential customer have clear product features and specifications available to them prior to purchase. While subscribed to one of our optional Ring Protect Plans, you will be able to access videos from every motion and live view event for up to 60 days (US). You can also access, download, and share past Ring videos. Without this service, you will still receive real-time video alerts on your smartphone as well as have access to the Live View feature. • QuestionI need to find a camera that I can put on my window sill for my automobile protection. My car was vandalized last night by daughter and I need something that I can put on my window sill to catch her. I'm not very educated on this. Thanks

    Asked by Jackie.

    • Answer Hello Jackie. In order to get proper motion detection, Ring battery-powered cameras using passive infrared motion detection, such as the Stick Up Cam, should not be placed facing a window or in front of a glass door. We recommend mounting the device outside to get the most accurate motion detection. Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hello, Great question! Notifications for motion and doorbell dings are completely customizable within the Ring app. Notifications can be set for each mobile device users device, i.e: your spouse and you who have different cellular phones can choose which notifications they'd like to receive and which they would not. • QuestionHow are the images in the dark ?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer I have my porch light on every night. It has an LED light with DayLight Specs....it gives off very bright WHITE light. As you can see in the picture taken at night, it shows color. This way any intruder or bad actors will have a very nice color picture. Our neighbor had some pranksters and they don't have an LED Light with DayLight....picture was not great.
