- Answer It works anywhere your mobile phone does. You can see who is at your door and if you choose to, you can talk to them. If you want to see video from earlier in the day or from a previous day pay a monthly fee $3-$12

- Answer Based on what I have read, they aren't stored if you don't activate "Ring Protect". The camera will work in live mode when it detects movement, but the video isn't stored.

QuestionI have already had a cheaper model quit after a short time, I think couldn't stand up to the direct west sun where a metal unit can get too hot to touch. Any experience with this unit in the hot sun?

- Answer I paid 35 bucks for a full year of monitoring. That includes the live view and i don’t have to worry about it for a full year instead of monthly payments.

- Answer You can wire it to the existing doorbell wires or just use the battery it comes with if you have no way to remove the old doorbell and replace it with this one.

- Answer Yes it is waterproof and depending on what the home is made of maybe. They only give you supplies for brick and wood when installing. The ring official website sells accessories if needed

- Answer You do not have the ability to use a chime box inside your home unless you wire the Ring to an existing doorbell. But the notifications on your phone are great in my opinion! A very distinct chime so you know it's Ring when you hear it.
