Does batteries come with the ring doorbell? null

Hi Steph, Everything you need to install your Ring Video Doorbell comes in the box, including the battery. Bilan J, Customer Satisfaction Specialist Bilan.jenkins@ring.com

It has a battery like a cell phone and you charge it like a cell phone. However, if you are replacing your old doorbell button with this as I did, you can just attach the existing doorbell wiring to the Ring and it will never need charged.
