• Ring Pro is hardwired. If you need a battery one, you have to get the Ring 2 instead.

• Ring Doorbell 2 gives you the option to either power through battery/hardwire. But the Pro is hardwire only.

• Hardwired The original and "2" can run on battery

• This is a hardwired device. You must have an existing wired doorbell to connect this device to existing doorbell wiring. No batteries needed.

• This Item uses your existing interior chime ( as long as it produces a minimum of 16V) The existing wiring on the exterior is just connected to the Ringer. no batteries to swap. Nice Unit
