Best Doorbell Camera Ever!
|Posted .Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I rarely leave reviews, but this product is SO amazing that I just have to share my happiness with other people. After having the Skybell for over a year, we decided it was finally time to throw in the towel. We were always having constant issues with the Skybell's motion sensor... you could stand right in front of our doorbell camera, do jumping jacks, and it would record absolutely NOTHING! After many troubleshoots and a lot of frustration, we finally decided to exchange the Skybell for the Ring Doorbell and Chime Pro. Thank god for Best Buy's Geek Squad Protection. It allowed us to return the defective doorbell, and exchange it for this new MAGNIFICENT device. The audio and video on the Ring Pro is so clear and crisp. The motion sensor is amazing! It works, almost too good lol. Which I am not complaining about! You can adjust the sensitivity and select certain "zones" that you'd like to have motion picked up and recorded from. It comes with 4 different colored faceplates, that you can choose from to match the color of your home. It comes with 2 different wedge base plates to accommodate different angles for your front door, which we had to purchase separately when we had the Skybell. It comes with a masonry bit for easy installation into brick. The install and set up is so easy that a caveman can do it! Thank you again for making such an AMAZING product Ring! I will most certainly be adding more devices to our Ring family in the near future!

Ring Ding Dong!
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5So, I bought the Ring doorbell because of my Samsung family hub refrigerator purchase. Though the refrigerator hasn't arrived yet, due to backorder, I have enjoyed the ring doorbell, tremendously! I didn't realize how much I would like the doorbell and how beneficial it is. 2020 has been difficult for many and its causing people to engage in more sinister acts. So, one of the features that I like is the notification I receive when a delivery person drops off a package. They don't always ring the doorbell, alerting me of a package delivery. So, getting a notification and a short motion video of the delivery person arriving and dropping off a package is absolutely great. This way, I can walk to the door and grab my package before a thief does. Its also great for when I'm not at home, as I can head home because something of value has been delivered I'm a Google home person, personally, but the RING doorbell came with an Amazon echo, for free. I set it up on my desk, so when I'm woeming from home and someone rings the doorbell, I can see who is at the door without having to get up and if I want I can talk to them from my desk, just incase its a solicitor. I really like that feature! This particular model comes with a chime that you can plug into an outlet, to hear the motion detection or hear when someone presses the doorbell button. I placed mine in the garage, as the garage is where I do my laundry. So, just incase I have a package delivered or someone rings the doorbell, ill be notified. If youbhave the app, the notifications will sound on your phone and if you have any alexa product, then you'll be notified on those products. Can't wait to pair it with the Samsung 4 door flex family hub! Bottom line: I'm really enjoying the ring doorbell!

Pro is the way to go!
|Posted .I got both the ring doorbell 2 and this pro edition with chime . I was originally nervous about WiFi reaching the unit so that is why I got the chime bundle but I am getting great results without needing the chime ! The camera has a fish eye lense that sees down the entire street even though the camera is facing straight . Night quality is great too! I am pleased . Only downfall is needing to subscribe to view recorded video . But I’m content with using the live view and motion settings and have no intention to pay a ridiculous service fee

The best Ring option- with one exception
|Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use3 out of 5This doorbell was the best option for us as it is the version that you hardwire to where your existing doorbell was. We live in a very cold climate and the hardwired version works in much colder temperatures than the battery version. Not to mention not worrying about charging a battery if it dies while we are out of town, etc. Now for the BUT.... if your existing doorbell wiring isn’t producing at least 16volts, you are in for a long, frustrating process... possibly involving replacing your doorbell transformer (which we had to do). In the end it was all worth it. The doorbell, camera, everything works perfectly. Just be prepared for possibly having to do more then just sticking the doorbell up and being done.

Easy Set-Up, Quality Video
|Posted .This doorbell is so great! The ease of installation just blew me away. I am a woman in my thirties with very little electrical wiring experience and was able to remove my old doorbell, install the new one and have it all working in about 30 minutes' time. The app and directions walked me step by step through the process and it works perfectly. The performance of this doorbell is highly dependent on having a good wifi connection, so the Chime Pro really comes in handy to boost signal to avoid choppy video and frustration. The chime makes a pleasant sound when Ring senses movement in my designated motion zones. The four colors of faceplates included are an added bonus so you can color coordinate with your house color. I mounted this on a light fixture mounting block (found at Home Depot for $5) to get a nice flush installation. I really cannot say enough great things about this bundle. Don't wait!

Love it!
|Posted .We have been thinking about adding the video doorbell, and after reading so many reviews online, we decided to go with this bundle when it was on sale for $199. We totally love it everything about it! Can't wait catch whoever letting their dogs poop on our yard/driveway and not cleaning up after them LOL One thing though, make sure your transformer is at least 16v and puts on 20VA. We had to correct that after ours keep losing power. After that, it was all solid with great power source. Great product!

Ring bell with chime pro
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use3 out of 5Great device. Easy setup. We bought the ring with the chime pro. Instruction little not in sync with the content but easy to figure out. Most difficult part is to install the ring bell on stucco wall. Yes it comes with an extra plastic piece that you fasten to stucco with the ring attached to it. But still you have to figure out a way to level the stucco irregular texture so the system will be level . I used stucco repair material and created a flat level base the size of the plastic piece. Let it dry completely before drilling holes and fasten the system. The drillbit given is too big so used yours to drill holes else may create much larger holes than needed. Once installed setup easy. If you plan to blend that piece with stucco psi t it before installing it.

Q: QuestionWhy do I need the Chime if I'm using an existing doorbell ? Thank you
Asked by TheTig.
- A:Answer I like to have the chime mainly for motion notifications. We have it set to wind chimes real soft just to let us know when there is motion because the doorbell doesn't ring for motion alerts. Alexa will also let you know when there is motion.
Answered by Tech2xs
Q: Questiondo you need WIFI /internet to use this product or will it just call your phone number automatically?
Asked by bob.
- A:Answer All Ring doorbells /cameras depend on a strong WiFi signal in order to work. If the WiFi signal is weak, your doorbell/Camera will be offline. "Events" are stored in the "cloud" for two months provided that you maintain a current subscription. First 30 days included. $ 30.00 per year thereafter. You can download "events" at any time to your phone, computer, tablet, etc. for long term archival. It does not "call" your phone. It notifies you of an "event" via a "pop up" to your phone, computer, tablet, etc.

Q: QuestionIf someone just knocks on the door but doesn't push the doorbell, will I still be able to view the video and see who's knocking before I answer the door?
Asked by rvanats.
- A:Answer Yes. As long as you utilize the motion alert feature. You can also speak to them even if they don’t ring the doorbell
Answered by Kobb44
Q: QuestionWill I need a transformer to power it or will it run on a regular doorbell setup?
Asked by Gggggggg.
- A:Answer My doorbell was sending "very good" power by simply booking up the doorbell and parts in the box. If your current doorbell doesn't supply enough power then you need to retire it or buy a new transformer. There are videos on YouTube showing how to rewire
Answered by Willie
Q: QuestionDoes the Ring doorbell pro come with different colored faceplates in the box or is this something I have to purchase separately?
Asked by Meghan.
- A:Answer It does come with 4 color faceplates: silver, dark brown, light brown and black.
Answered by JoshO
Q: QuestionDoes this Ring Doorbell require a contract for video monitoring? If so, how much per month? I intend to hard wire. Maybe I don't need the Chime Pro?
Asked by TexasGal.
- A:Answer Yes, they do charge for a cloud to store your videos, but they don't monitor. They offer a special for a year of service costing $30. The Ring pro is the better choice. I bought the lower priced one and returned it for the Pro.

Q: QuestionIf I was to purchase an item at Best Buy and goes on sale a couple of months later. Do I get a reimbursement of the difference?
Asked by Lillan.
- A:Answer return policy for holidays season goes thru Jan 14th. 2019 so it can be priced matched within that period.
Answered by menhab
Q: QuestionDoes the ring video doorbell pro come with one or two (if any) angle brackets?
Asked by Durdydog.
- A:Answer Mine came with a flat bracket to mount flat against the wall, an angled bracket that will make the camera face to the left or right, and a 2nd angled bracket to make the camera look up or down. You'll be amazed at the panoramic view this camera has, I was.
