“The salesman at the store told us that this does not have to be wired to an existing doorbell that we could use it as battery operated only. I do not see anything listed for a battery operating only. Does this have to be wired to use?”

• The Chime Pro has to be hard wired. There is no battery.

• This has to be wired. I think the other Ring doorbells (the wider ones) have a battery option.
