• Yes, it seems the sun at just the right angle can create a starburst effect or trigger motion events. Recommend one the ring wedges to angle the device when possible

• It does make the picture brighter and some sun spots, but I have not ever been able to not see what was happening outside because of it.

• I will tell you when it works its great but mine and my nieghbors pro doorbell have not worked since we both installed as of this answer they both have stopped working !!!

• I haven't noticed any effect at all. It's a smaller screen than our Echo Show 2, but it is still very bright and easy to read. It makes an excellent alarm clock.
