There is no record time it picks up just about anything that the motion sensor is set to and sends to your phone. Keep in mind that you do have to purchase a yearly agreement with ring, but it’s very cheap for basic subscription. Worth it for sure. Also you will get notices from neighbors some good some just silly. One thing for sure you know who comes and goes...I definitely recommend it

Not enough. I spent a fortune purchasing and installing this not to mention the cost of my wifi and iPhone. But then I can't see the videos from the camera that I own unless I pay them. Pay to use MY EQUIPMENT. Would not purchase again.
